Fukushima Prefecture aims to construct “a society that does not depend on nuclear power” after going through hardships caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear power plant accident. As part of efforts to realize this objective, Fukushima Prefectural Government has concluded Memorandum of Understanding with pioneers of renewable energy abroad.

At the special seminar in the Basque Country this October, Mr. Uchibori, the Governor of Fukushima introduces the current status of Fukushima such as accelerating the reconstruction, the charm of the prefecture and the prefecture’s activities to set out to be the front-runner in the field of renewable energy in Japan.
