State of Green (SOG), Denmark and EnergyAgency.FUKUSHIMA (EAF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the field of renewable energy.

Fukushima prefecture has been doing various activities such as developing related industries, creating networks, holding an exhibition (REIF) and collaborating with countries which are advanced in renewable energies, in order to become “the frontrunner in the field of renewable energy”.

On 23rd May, Thursday SOG and EAF signed an MoU in the field of renewable energy at the Royal Danish Embassy. State of Green is a Danish organization which is not-for-profit, public-private partnership. At the ceremony, Mr. Mortensen, an Executive Director of State of Green and Mr. Hattori, a Managing Director of EAF signed the documents and Mr. Svane, an Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy and Mr. Ide, a vice governor of Fukushima Prefecture Government attended the ceremony as guests.

About the MoU;
The following topics are identified for the future cooperation:
・ Renewable energy technologies
・ Smart and urban solutions
・ Energy efficiency and flexible energy systems

The purposes of the cooperation:
・ Bilateral exchange and transfer of knowledge about the topics mentioned above
・ Annual internal meetings to exchange experiences and develop the future cooperation
・ Organization of conferences, workshops and delegation visits
・ Support of networking between companies, institutes and research facilities in both regions
・ Presentation of best-practice projects in both regions
