Fukushima – Denmark Webinar report

Fukushima – Denmark seminar: “Leading a Green Energy Transition” took place on the 21st of April 2021 jointly organized by Fukushima Prefecture, EnergyAgency.FUKUSHIMA (EA.F), the Royal Danish Embassy and State of Green (SoG).

The seminar proceeded online. Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, His Excellency Peter Taksøe-Jensen and Governor of Fukushima Prefecture Uchibori Masao gave the opening remarks.

Following it, a presentation was made by Elsebeth Søndergaard Krone, Director of the Centre for Global Cooperation, Danish Energy Agency followed by a presentation by Vice Governor Ide Takatoshi of Fukushima Prefecture.

During the panel discussion, panelists discussed the current situation and challenges taken on by Denmark and Fukushima as they strive to realize a hydrogen society.

Valuable opinions were exchanged among panelists focusing on the importance of collaboration between Fukushima which is aiming for carbon neutrality and a 100% renewable energy supply and Denmark which is a leading region in renewable energy and a path to the resolution of the high cost for the commercialization of hydrogen.

The seminar attracted many people, and we appreciate all of the people for taking the time to participate in the Fukushima – Denmark Webinar.
